Alia Bhatt playfully remarked, ‘His sense of humor is unmatched; he’s the only individual I’ve encountered who can gracefully doze off at his own birthday celebration.’

In the recent episode of Karan Johar’s talk show, Koffee With Karan 8, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra took the spotlight as guests. Despite their fellow Student Of The Year co-star Alia Bhatt being absent from the couch, she sent a special video message. At the start of the video, Alia reminisces, “Our debut on the Koffee With Karan couch was quite memorable, thanks to my unforgettable mistake (the President answer oopsie). Even though I’m not physically present for this episode, I had to be a part of it in some way. I’m grateful that Koffee asked me to share this message, or else I would have experienced some serious FOMO.”

In the video, Alia Bhatt shared some lesser-known details about her co-stars. Having briefly dated her Kapoor & Sons co-star Sidharth Malhotra, Alia revealed that her beloved pet, Edward, was a thoughtful gift from him. She mentioned, “Sid is surprisingly a fantastic singer. Despite being a health-conscious individual who doesn’t indulge in partying, he has this incredible knack for kickstarting celebrations—perhaps the inherent Punjabi in him. He knows how to liven up a crowd; he’s truly remarkable. Additionally, he has this humorous side, evident from being the first person to doze off at his own birthday bash. Sid takes some time to open up; there’s a reserved politeness in his initial interactions. However, once you get to know him, you find a warm and kind-hearted person, and his massive fan following is a testament to that. Personally, I’m grateful to Sid because he introduced me to the first love of my life, Edward.”

Alia, having collaborated with Varun Dhawan on various projects, shared three lesser-known facts about him. She said, “Firstly, he humorously calls a banana ‘banena.’ Secondly, there’s a sweet touch to him – whenever he receives a call from a family member or an aunt, he answers the phone with ‘Pairi pauna.’ Now, the third fact may not be the best-kept secret, but it’s widely known that he’s extremely competitive, especially when it comes to competing with me.”

Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra entered the Bollywood scene simultaneously, marking their debuts together in Karan Johar’s film “Student Of The Year” in 2012.
